What is reproductive surgery?

What can I expect during female reproductive surgery?

Laparoscopy usually takes place in an operating room on an outpatient basis, under general anesthesia. Your provider inserts a small instrument called a laparoscope through a tiny incision to allow him to see inside and repair problems. 

During a hysteroscopy procedure, your provider inspects the inside of the uterus by inserting a hysteroscope (which is about the size of a pen) through the vagina and cervix and into the uterus. This detects issues like fibroids, polyps, scarring, abnormal contour, and malignancies so they can correct them.
